TRICORE NAMES SANDRA KINDIG TO DIRECTOR, LAB OPERATIONS AT TRICORE RESEARCH INSTITUTE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – March 1, 2023, ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO – TriCore Research Institute (TRI), the dedicated research division of TriCore, has promoted Sandra Kindig to Director, Lab Operations at the Institute. She was previously the Manager for the Research Teams at TRI. In her new role, she will have operational responsibility for TRI’s Clinical Trials, Biorepository and Central Lab Services. TRI has close to 50 employees and manages over 175 collection studies, and over 100 device and clinical trials each year.

“Sandra was an instrumental leader in establishing TRI in 2015,” said Eric Carbonneau, TriCore’s Chief Operating Officer. “She brings a wealth of knowledge in clinical research and is well respected amongst her colleagues and staff.

Ms. Kindig started her career at TriCore as an ASCP certified Medical Laboratory Scientist. She was promoted to Research Coordinator at TRI in 2013 and rose through the ranks to her current position. She is a native New Mexican and has three Bachelor’s Degrees in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Biology and Spanish from the University of New Mexico. She recently earned an MBA in Leadership from Grand Canyon University. Ms. Kindig has an interest in developing leaders to positively impact organizational culture. She is part of the group Albuquerque Women in Business for Good that builds connections and supports local non-profit organizations.
