Specific IgE Blood Testing
TriCore offers a wide range of ImmunoCAP® IgE blood allergy tests to meet diverse patient needs. Our testing can help clinicians navigate high and low risk potential allergens when combined with a detailed patient history.
TriCore’s Food and Respiratory Allergy Panels
Our Food Allergy Panel measures the serum IgE specific for common food allergens, including the “Big 9” food categories which are responsible for 90% of food allergies, helping to rule in or rule out potential food allergies.
Our Respiratory Allergy Panels evaluate serum IgE to specific airborne allergens. We offer location-specific testing to optimize for allergens common to the Rocky Mountain West (AZ, ID, NM, WY, CO, MT and UT) and South Western (TX, OK) . This allows testing to better target areas consistent with the clinical history of allergy symptoms in patients which enhances the clinical utility of results.
Component Reflex Testing
Our component reflex testing improves specificity when allergic sensitization to allergens is detected without requiring an additional blood draw. Reflex testing helps stratify the risk of serious allergic responses compared to whole allergen testing because it provides greater clarity regarding the patient’s specific sensitization. Together with clinical history, this can better inform the potential for clinical allergy and reaction severity. For suspected food allergies, our allergy profile includes reflex testing on specific components when allergens such as milk, egg, and peanut test positive. This approach supports a more accurate diagnosis and helps tailor management plans to each patient’s unique sensitivities.
Understanding the benefits of IgE testing in allergy assessment
Immunoglobulin E (IgE) testing emerges as a pivotal tool, offering critical information into allergen sensitivities and guiding personalized treatment approaches.
