• Preferred: 1.0 mL
• Minimum: 0.7 mL

• Ambient: 2 hours after separation from cells

• Frozen: 1 month after separation from cells

Processing & Shipping

Specimen Processing:
Allow red top to clot for 20-30 minutes. Centrifuge immediately and separate serum into transport tube.

Special Instructions:
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Rejection Criteria:
Contaminated, hemolyzed and lipemic specimens are unacceptable.
