• 3.2% Sodium Citrate (light blue top)

• Preferred: four aliquots (0.5mL each) frozen citrate plasma
• Minimum: two aliquots (0.5mL each) frozen citrate plasma

• Ambient: 4 hours
• Refrigerated: Unacceptable
• Frozen: 1 month

Processing & Shipping

Specimen Processing:
Submit four (4) aliquots (at least 0.5 mL each) frozen Platelet Poor Citrate Plasma.

Shipping Instructions:
Ship frozen (use dry ice if necessary to prevent thawing)

Special Instructions:

Rejection Criteria:
Refrigerated and hemolyzed specimens are unacceptable.
