How to Get Your Results
TriCore sends your lab results directly to the physician who ordered the tests. To get your results, we prefer that you see your doctor, who can explain the results to you.
We do provide results as a service to our patients. There are three ways to get them:
When You Arrive for Your Lab Test
When you visit any of our
Patient Care Centers to have a specimen collected, you may ask that a copy of your results be mailed to you. A
TriCore representative will enter your request electronically, along with physician orders, at the time of service.
Make a Request by Phone
You may call Client Services 24 hours a day at
505-938-8922 or toll-free at
800-245-3296 and request a copy of your results, which we will mail to you. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (
HIPAA) of 1996 requires that we ask several questions to ensure that your protected health information stays secure.
Requests Made by Family Members and Others
All other requests for medical records from healthcare providers, family members and any individual or entity other than the patient must be address to Client Services at 505-938-8922 or 800-245-3296 and may require review and a response by TriCore Legal & Risk Services.
To ensure your privacy, we keep records of who made the request, the TriCore representative who took the request, when the information was disclosed and the address where the results were sent.
