TriCore’s Infectious Diseases Laboratory provides testing to diagnose bacterial, viral, fungal, and mycobacterial disease, along with guidance in the treatment and follow-up of infectious diseases cases. TriCore experts within the laboratory offer a wealth of technical and clinical competency to help you choose appropriate tests from our menu – which includes classic microbiology assays as well as tests that employ molecular techniques – and to interpret test results. The laboratory also assists the New Mexico Department of Health with several public health initiatives, including the surveillance of bacterial and viral infections as well as numerous antibiotic susceptibility studies.
