Unclear Test Orders

In most cases when TriCore receives an incomplete or ambiguous test order, we make every effort to contact the healthcare provider for clarification. However, TriCore performs default testing in the time-sensitive situations listed below, since the integrity of the specimen could be compromised by a delay.

When default testing is performed: We will inform you on your laboratory results report of the type of default testing performed. In accordance with federal regulations, we will also request that you authorize the change by signing the report where indicated and faxing it back to TriCore at the fax number provided.

To clarify test orders in advance and reduce calls to your facility, call Client Services at 505-938-8922 in Albuquerque or toll-free at 800-245-3296 whenever you have questions about specimen collection or test ordering.
