Frequently Asked Questions About Our Application Process

What do I need to apply for a position with TriCore Reference Laboratories?

We’ll review your resume and any other supporting documents you send us as part of your application. We’ll also ask for a current email address.

What if I don’t have an email address?

You’ll need a valid, current email address to apply for a position with us. You can set up a free email account online through various email services.

May I submit a paper application and/or resume?

To expedite and streamline the application process, TriCore no longer accepts paper applications or resumes.

Is there a limit to the number of jobs I can apply for?

You’re free to apply for as many positions as you like. Most positions require specific qualifications, so please be sure to review the minimum qualifications for each job before applying.

What if I’m currently a TriCore employee?

Current employees may apply through TriCnet, our intranet, which can be accessed using any TriCore computer.

When I file an application, there’s a job cart. How do I use it?

You can use the job cart to store jobs you’re interested in while you continue your search. But the jobs you store in the cart will remain there only during the current session.

How long do I have to complete an application during a session?

Our system has a session time-out of 20 minutes, so if you don’t select the [Next] button within 20 minutes after you arrive on any given page, the system will automatically log you out.

What happens when the system logs me out?

If you’re logged out, unfortunately, the system does not save any information you entered previously. You’ll need to log back into your account and retype or reload your resume. We recommend saving your resume on your computer and either uploading or copying and pasting it into the appropriate field to avoid being timed out again.

What’s going on when I hit the [Next] button but the system won’t let me advance to the next page?

You must complete all fields in the online application to advance to the next page. The questions you see in boldface are required fields. Be sure to put “N/A” in any field you don’t fill out.

Does the cover letter require a minimum number of characters?

Yes. The cover letter field requires a minimum of 100 characters.

Why didn’t the system save my resume?

Your resume will be saved to your account only if you check the box marked Save This Resume and fill out the Resume Name box on the Submit Your Resume page. You can also save your resume by going to My Account and adding it under the Documents section.

Why are there no [Submit] or [Next] buttons on the bottom of the page?

You may have to change the Internet security settings on your PC. To do that:
  • Select the Control Panel in the Start menu.
  • Click on Internet Options.
  • Select Privacy.
  • Click on the Sites button in the Privacy box.
  • Type in www.tricore.org in the allotted box.
The [Next] and [Submit] buttons should now show up on the TriCore Web page after the page is refreshed.

How do I know that my application was actually submitted?

You should have received a “Thank you for submitting your resume” screen after you hit the [Submit] button on the last page of the application. You also should have received an email from noreply@tricore.org acknowledging that your application/resume has been received.

How do I check the status of my application?

Log into the account you created when you applied for a position at TriCore, and choose View My Account. Click on View Application Status in the Application Activity section, and you’ll see the position(s) you applied for, along with current status.
