Jessie L. Salk, President and Chief Executive Officer
As president and chief executive officer of TriCore Reference Laboratories, Jessie Salk is responsible for overseeing the operations and financial health of a community-based, independent reference laboratory providing full-service, state-of-the-art laboratory tests to healthcare professionals and their patients throughout New Mexico and the Southwest and across the nation.
Ms. Salk received her bachelor’s degree in accounting at Winona State University in Winona, Minn. She later earned the Executive Black Belt from Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and the Executive MBA from the University of St. Thomas, also in Minneapolis.
Ms. Salk joined TriCore from the Mayo Foundation in Rochester, Minn., where her consistent record of success in directing both for-profit and non-profit activities resulted in seven leadership promotions over a period of 26 years.
Renee Ennis, MBA, Chief Financial Officer
Renee Ennis has served as the chief financial officer at TriCore Reference Laboratories since October 2004. She has more than 20 years of laboratory-related financial experience and is responsible for the oversight and direction of all financial operations, including financial management, accounting, billing and collections, contracting and legal.
Ms. Ennis holds a Master of Business Administration degree in healthcare management from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Central Michigan University. She also received a Certificate of Business Ethics from the University of New Mexico.
David Jenkins, Interim Chief Information Officer
David Jenkins joined the TriCore senior leadership team in 2011, bringing with him a depth of technological leadership experience and the ability to drive operational improvements. He oversees the information-technology innovations now being implemented at TriCore to provide customers with enhanced access to the laboratory information we provide.
Prior to joining TriCore, Mr. Jenkins served as chief executive officer of TDnJ Business Consulting in Atlanta, Ga. He was chief information officer for Analysts International Corp. of Minneapolis, Minn., from 1991 to 2008, and also served as vice-president of mid-range systems at Computer Management Sciences, Inc., of Jacksonville, Fla.
Mr. Jenkins received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, N.C., and has also completed professional training as an ISO 9000 Lead Assessor. He holds advisory positions on the boards of directors of Troy University in Atlanta, Ga., and Atlanta Business Leader Enrichment (ABLE), a skills-development organization for business executives.
Michael J. Crossey, MD, PhD, Executive Medical Director
Dr. Crossey began his affiliation with TriCore Reference Laboratories in 1997, during the initial phases of TriCore’s foundation, and has helped guide the organization’s development throughout its existence. As executive medical director, he is responsible for medical oversight of TriCore’s operations and plays a key role in the organization’s initiative to provide healthcare professionals with easier, more timely access to laboratory information. Prior to assuming his current position, he served for more than 10 years as TriCore’s medical director of clinical pathology.
Dr. Crossey attended the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque, N.M., and completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at University of New Mexico Hospital. He is board certified in clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology and also holds a doctoral degree in zoology and physiology from the University of Wyoming in Laramie, where his research focused on environmental toxicology. His special areas of interest in pathology include clinical pathology, endocrine testing and laboratory automation.
